Mechanical Peace 2016

Mechanical Peace is the practice of presenting natural phenomena in a mechanical way.
Natural phenomena such as water, air, lightning, etc. I think these elements should be my topic of seeking a peaceful balance between my spirit and physical body. I feel the physical world – it is the touch of wind, the smell of air, and even the sound of falling leaves. All of them bring me joy. Mechanical Peace mimics this experience of joy when the audience interacts with it.
Compared to the organic movements in nature, this is a stiff manner to put my audiences in front of these false “natural phenomena”, it is artificial. However, the blunt movements which are made by the spiral handle and the wires, are as pure as the natural ones – both of them are physical motions. This clumsy imitation creates a peaceful emotion too,
